About this habitat: there are plenty of trees providing shades to three young tigers (all male siblings); the surrounding is mostly covered with bamboo and tall grass; it has a rocky area with a cave undearneath; and also two ponds and a connecting waterfall. Sometimes birds underestimate the agility of the young tigers and build their nests within this enclosure--unfortunately most fledglings don't make it out alive. Two windows are available for viewing at opposite ends of this exhibit.

The Sumatran Tiger is a critically endangered species with less than 500 individuals left in the wild.

I really love the positioning of the Sumatran tiger in this shot with respect to the background scenery and bokeh. Stunning composition! =)

That is fantastic. It's nice to hear a bit about the habitat they live in and how it is for them as well. The eyes are fantastic as well. Great shot.

I absolutely adore this picture. With the colors in the background, it's almost like the tiger is asking you what you're doing in his paradise.
